Keswick. Treeby and Bolton

With its eye-catching range of art glass, ceramics, original paintings, limited edition prints and interior furnishings, this is something of a stand-out shop in Keswick.

Spread over three floors, the display embraces glassware by Borowski, Kosta Boda and Mats Jonasson, homeware from Orla Kiely, Portmerion and LSA, and artworks from the likes of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, Bob Dylan, Jeff Rowland, Danny Abrahams, Paul Horton, Peter Smith and Quentin Blake (illustrations for Roald Dahl). There are Marvel prints signed by Stan Lee as well.

In the 1920s a young William Moorcroft used to pop in here, to see if there was any interest in buying his pottery. Although the shop has considerably expanded since then, the enthusiasm for Moorcroft remains undiminished, as the hundred or so of its pieces on the ground floor - vases, ginger jars and clocks - clearly demonstrate. Exhibitions and artist events where you ‘meet the artist’ take place throughout the year.
